Exquisite Hricko

Professor Richard Hricko received his MFA in Printmaking from the Tyler School of Art in 1979 and began teaching here in the mid-1980s. For over thirty years, his students and colleagues at Tyler have benefitted from his generous teaching methods, Widespread professional contributions, technological innovations, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Though Richard retires this year, his work continues. A co-founder of Crane Arts, he is a fixture of Philadelphia’s art community, supporting the city’s creative initiatives while also devotedly maintaining an acclaimed studio practice.

We are grateful for his example, his influence, and his willingness to indulge us in some good-natured ribbing.
